Nuno Ramalhão


Nuno Ramalhão was born in the small island of S. Miguel in Açores - Portugal (1987). Product designer, illustrator, art, travel and cinema enthusiast. Graduated from Escola Superior de Artes e Design (ESAD) in Porto where he currently lives.

At the age of 10 he started attending drawing and painting classes at ARGO (Artistic Association of Gondomar) and later, he studied product design. After receiving his BA degree, he worked in different fields of the design and education industry, both in Europe and Asia. After 2 years living in Mumbai - India, he started working as a freelancer and pursuing his long time passion for illustration. His audience is growing, and his group of clients includes Clerkenwell Films, Coffee & Cigarettes Studio, and various other brands. He developed work for several British movies and TV series such as The End Of The F***ing World, Swimming With Men and more.

Nuno Ramalhão’s work is characterised by the use of traditional tools (pencils and pen), attention to composition and detail as well as a strong sense of colour. He also tries to make use of the latest technology available by combining traditional drawing with digital illustration, and by creating fully digital graphics.
