Hanne Rysgaard is a ceramic designer-maker and artist. She creates unique handmade collections of colourful and FUNctional ceramics often decorated with her own joyful collaged surface patterns.

All Hanne’s work is infused with love, life & joy and it’s firmly rooted in good craftsmanship, playfulness and attention to detail.

Hanne’s love of colours, pattern and creativity permeates her whole life going all the way back to her childhood when she would obsessively draw colourful geometric patterns and create elaborate Plasticine worlds for her Lego people.

She wants all her work to bring joy & happiness to people’s lives and she loves knowing her ceramic pieces are being used every day in family homes around the world. Hanne was born and raised in Copenhagen, so both ‘HYGGE’ & good design are most definitely in her DNA. She currently lives in a big old house in Bristol with her family plus at least 2 imaginary dogs , a unicorn and a house elf named Nobby.

When Hanne is not working in her home studio she enjoys reading Danish books , cooking, gardening , walking in nature, practicing hot yoga & meditation and hanging out with family & friends.
