Samantha Woo is an illustrator and designer born and raised in sunny Southern California. She received her BFA in Illustration at Laguna College of Art and Design. Her passion is shared between telling simple, yet poignant stories through her illustrations and making art for people in the form of greeting cards and stationery. Although she prefers to create her work digitally in Photoshop, Samantha’s techniques are very much influenced by traditional mediums, such as gouache, watercolor and charcoal. Her work can be described as colourful and playful, as she often looks to the style of Mid-Century modern illustration and the legend Mary Blair for inspiration.
