Ruth Waters is a collage artist and author.

Ruth has written and illustrated a series of picture books and was shortlisted for the World Illustration Awards 2019 and 2020. She is familiar with working with narratives and story lines and seeing the world through the eyes of a child. She enjoys creating her illustrations by hand in collage and combining that with digital work. Much of Ruth’s inspiration comes from her passion for colour, sense of humour and daily life with her children. In a previous life, Ruth worked in marketing for London’s theatre industry for 20 years – for companies including The National Theatre, Royal Court Theatre and Donmar Warehouse. She’s lived in Toronto and Sydney and has now settled in Sussex beside the South Downs.
