Since graduating from Manchester Metropolitan University in 2004 with a degree in textile design, Penny has worked both in house and freelance, designing and illustrating for a wide range of products such as bedding, wallpaper, stationary, giftware and fabric. She loves to combine drawing and painting with digital illustration techniques to create colourful characters, motifs and patterns. Working both in house and freelance has provided Penny with the opportunity to work with companies from all around the world and exhibit at international trade fairs.

Penny lives in Sheffield with her husband, young daughter and their Yorkshire Terrier Ozzy. When she’s not in her studio, Penny enjoys walking her dog, yoga, music, craft beer and spending time with her family and friends. She finds inspiration for her work in her daily walks, magazines, reading books to her daughter and rummaging around vintage, craft and gift shops.
