Francesco Zito


Francesco Zito is an Italian Illustrator, living in Rome. He started studying graphic design and later attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples and many workshops with some talented and famous italian illustrators. Drawing has always been part of Francesco’s world since he was a child. He works mostly in digital art mixing traditional media like watercolours, pencils and gouache. He loves to create children’s illustration and toys too, and his works is full of quirky and cute animals! He feels inspired by many different things, like some old vintage illustrations, movies and Japanese folklore. When he’s not in the studio, Francesco loves to read, travel and baking cakes! He spends a lot of time in bookstores and flea markets, looking for books that can inspire him as well as new teapots to add to his collection! He dreams of having a dog, someday. Francesco has worked with many clients like: Edizioni EL, Mondadori, Giunti, Centro Studi Erickson, De Agostini and Igloo Books.
