Ellen is a Brazilian artist from São Paulo, a bustling urban city that made her find solace in art in order to not feel lost.
Her biggest inspirations are folk art and she spends a huge amount of time thinking how humans tried a lot of ways of expressing themselves over the centuries. When she’s not drawing and daydreaming, she’s usually reading fantasy (being a huge fan of Ursula Le K. Guin), playing role-playing games or escaping to somewhere with a lot of nature.
She finds traditional medium relaxing but a huge part of her work is having fun simulating traditional medium with digital tools. In her work, she is forever chasing a magical feeling and a sense of wonder. She isn’t afraid of playing with textures and bold colors. For her, with art we are able to magnify special moments from our minds and lives and make them eternal.
