We are looking for an Agent Coordinator in our NYC office!

The Bright Agency, a leader in representing children’s book illustrators and author-illustrators, seeks an agent coordinator to join the company’s New York office.

Responsibilities include:

Marketing and Publicity

-Working with agents to create weekly campaigns of new artwork

-Writing blog posts and social media content for the agency’s channels

-Tracking publication dates and awards for titles, as well as book deal announcements

-Working with publishers to support publicity efforts for key titles

Artwork and Artist Relations

-Processing of artwork for Bright’s internal database and website

-Designing portfolio sheets and other promotional materials

-Assisting artists in planning events and social media promotion

Finance and Contracts

-Coordinating the uploading and sending of contracts to artists and publishers

-Supporting the accounting department as-needed

-Supporting contracts and royalty staff as-needed

Trade Shows and Industry Events

-Representing the agency at various industry events throughout the year

-Coordinating meetings for agents in tandem with events

-Assisting with the planning of agency’s own events

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

-A positive, can-do attitude and personable spirit

-Quick, smart common-sense thinking and proactivity in a busy environment

-The ability to prioritize tasks and work on multiple projects at once

-Clear spoken and written communication across email, social media and blogs

-Immaculate organizational skills

-Basic knowledge of Photoshop or InDesign

-Knowledge of children’s literature, the publishing industry and an interest in illustration

-The agent coordinator will be trained on the agency’s bespoke CMS
