Abigail Lamb

After realising that cartoons are made by people and she could be one of those people, Abigail attended the Edinburgh College of Art to learn how to animate. Six years later she graduated with a BA, an MFA and 3 film festival awards.
Inspired by early cinema from the likes of George Méliès, as well as animation from Walt Disney and Studio Ghibli, Abigail’s work focuses on storytelling and the personal journeys of characters. Her other influences come from closer to home - Scotland’s vibrant landscape, history and folklore are often heavily instilled in her personal work. She also loves broadening her horizons by learning about other cultures, and these bring fresh perspectives.
Abigail can often be found meandering Edinburgh’s most scenic locations armed with a DSLR and a (reusable) cup of coffee - or huddled in a blanket at home, playing indie video games.
