AJ Smith is an author/illustrator (and sometimes animator, designer, art educator) specialising in humorous but evocative mixed media/digital art for kids.

His next book, Tea Time For Dinosaurs hits bookstores in August, 2022. Along with writing & illustrating children’s books, AJ juggles creative projects for exciting clients like Cartoon Network, Fablevision, Highlights, The Jim Henson Co, MTV, Nat Geo Kids, The National Wildlife Federation, Nickelodeon, PBS Kids, Scholastic, Sesame Street Workshop, and Weston Woods.

AJ can often be working from his “portable popup studio” at a rotating list of local coffee shops a bit north of Boston. — where he lives with his family and a few furry friends.

When not scribbling and doodling, he enjoys books, movies, hockey, comedy, travel, hiking, and almost anything art-related.
