Lexie initially trained as a textile designer but discovered her passion for illustration after graduating and has developed her own unique style. She works with acrylic paint to create texture on the page, cutting out individual characters and adding extra details in Photoshop.
She had her first permanent exhibition space from age 3 on her grandparents fridge where many original drawings still remain to this day. Most notably the turning on of the Christmas lights in 1995 in South East London by Wolf from Gladiators.
Animals are her main inspiration and she loves to imagine that every animal has its own personality and story to tell. Lexie is also very passionate about the environment. She is from the UK but is currently working in the beautiful Irish countryside with her rescue dog Lucie by her side and a cup of tea permanently on her desk.
When Lexie is not illustrating she is busy with all sorts of other craft projects including knitting, crochet, jewellery making and sewing. Lexie also has a passion for travelling and recently bought a camper van to explore the Atlantic coast.
