Ruth Hydes

Ruth is an award winning illustrator born and raised in Manchester. She studied graphic design and illustration in Birmingham and Stoke on Trent and now lives and works in Nantwich Cheshire.

An illustrator for twenty years, she has worked for major design groups and companies in advertising, publishing and design and won the Advertising Gold Award Professional 2012.

Ruth’s work is typically drawn and painted, her particular love of architecture is evident in many pieces of illustration, as is her use of vibrant colour and dynamic line. There is a strong drawing element in her work and she often uses a sketch book as the basis of her ideas.
