Jo Chambers was born and raised in Luton, UK. From an early age drawing and creating was a major part of her life. Influenced by her grandmothers eclectic and kitsch house she went on to study fine art and textiles at college and university.
Jo’s work focuses primarily on flowers and canines that are full of colour and character. Her textiles background is evident in her work via the colourful and patterned attire that often adorns her canines. As well as illustration and surface decoration Jo continues to use embroidery as a way to translate her drawings using a Singer Irish sewing machine. Her work shows humour and a whimsical quality.
Currently living in Oxford after a many years in Bath, Jo continues to sell and license work internationally drawing attention from Martha Stewart, Mutts & Hounds and Oh Joy! to name a few.
