I was born on the late 70’s in a small french town, close from the west coast. When I was very young, I had strange buddies that were never leaving my pockets : felt pens, coloured pencils, brushes and paint.
After repainting all the walls of the house, my parents understood that it was time for me to express my talent at an art school. That’s how I arrived at the famous Ãcole Boulle in Paris where I learned furniture design.
Following several years spent in various agencies of architecture, I decided to give up squares, rulers, and compasses and put my body, heart, and soul into what I always loved: putting my own imagination onto paper.
I am actually developing two different styles : one is colourful, sweet and poetic more oriented for the children’s books and the other, alias Yasuko, is more womanly and graphic, mixing ink work, brush strokes and digital textures.
I’m currently living in Paris with my daughter, drawing for magazines, advertising and children’s books in France and abroad.
