Luigi Savino was born in Central Florida. A frequent fixture in the back of the family restaurant doodling on guest check pads. Attending Pratt Institute in Brooklyn he developed his artistic skill, his love for hip hop music and persistent bagel habit. After graduation in 2009, he traded in bagels for burritos and moved to San Francisco. While making lattes in the Bay Area, Luigi lent his talents to anything from gig posters to logos and zines. Inspired by the surfaces and faces of the city as well as frequent trips to the local library.
He’s interested in bold compositions aspiring to give his illustrations cinematic scope. He is now settled in Oakland with his partner Ruby and their dog. You may find him, with said dog, in this studio working on a picture book or oil painting.
