
Scott is a freelance designer and illustrator based in Chorlton, Manchester. His journey began at Manchester Polytechnic studying for his degree in illustration. Scott left university in 1991, and worked as a freelance illustrator for the best part of the 90’s. Scott’s clients at that time included packaging for Whittard teas and Safeway fruit juices, illustrations for the BBC, IBM, Heinemann, Harper Collins, McCann Erickson and Virgin amongst many others. He also worked under contract for Lipp international, a successful Manchester based independent card company, painting many card designs, and wrapping paper.
At the turn of the century Scott successfully converted to digital. He worked in various studios, which proved to be excellent experience in working quickly, efficiently and to tight deadlines. Since joining Bright, Scott has expanded into packaging, editorial, advertising, publishing, and still regularly designs card and gift wrap. Recent clients include The Times, The Times Travel Magazine, The Guardian, Paperchase, Camden graphics, Junior Magazine, The Radio Times, Waitrose magazine and Marks & Spencer.
