Ellis Tolsma is an illustrator and animator from Utrecht, the Netherlands.

She studied Illustration design at Artez Hogeschool der Kunsten. Ellis loves playing around with shapes, matching bright colours together and loves combining illustration with other mediums, like animation or fine art. She often works with a lot of colour and has a bit of a retro vibe in her work, since she collects and is inspired by vintage children’s books and toys. She also loves to go thrifting, grow plants, read books, care for her aquarium and go climbing. Often drawn to the lovable imperfections of risograph printing, Ellis likes to craft fun, playful images that easily invite the viewer in.
