Kirsteen Harris-Jones

I left school at 16 and entered the world of art through the North Wales school of art and design and never looked back. My career has spanned lots of areas from advertising houses, creative/ graphic design houses and even animation studios. After 20 yrs and a huge semi- break to stay at home and look after my children, where I remained busy mainly as a freelance artist. I decided to go back to University and gained a Degree in children’s illustration for publishing. My achievements to date are winning the NEWI Caldecott prize, and a highly commended at Macmillan for ‘Gilda’s brother’. The highlight being, Chris Riddell expressing how much he loved my Tiger illustration!
