Emma Jayne is an illustrator from the beautiful county of Cheshire, in the UK’s North West. She likes to work both digitally and traditionally, usually starting off by painting with gouache, using ink and coloured pencils then finishing off in Photoshop.
At university, Emma Jayne studied Surface Pattern and became interested in illustration during this time. Later, she studied Textile Illustration at Masters level.
Since leaving university, she has worked with a wide variety of clients, including Tesco, Chester Zoo, Coca Cola , Open University and Deva Designs.
Emma Jayne enjoys finding her inspiration in nature, vintage fairs, films and through traveling around the UK and abroad on city breaks, to parts of Europe.
When she was a young teenager, she used to fill in a sketchbook each week, creating characters in their surroundings, based upon people she would see in magazines and on television, and walking past her bedroom window. Emma Jayne still loves to draw and does so virtually every day.
