Andrew Gardner is a lifetime doodler and loved drawing from childhood, and after a decade of working as a designer & art director he decided to pursue his passion for illustration and storytelling.
He always tries to include a sense of fun in his artwork, and especially enjoys creating humorous characters and silly-looking animals (the sillier the better). He often finds ideas and influence from Japanese culture and art, as he once lived in Osaka, Japan. He works digitally with Photoshop and his trusty Wacom tablet, but almost everything still begins life as a pencil sketch on paper.
When he’s not in his ‘studio’ (a small desk under the stairs), Andrew is probably either playing a video games, watching a Studio Ghibli film, or training at his local kickboxing club. He lives in leafy part of North London with his girlfriend and her many plants.
