Shana Nieberg-Suschitzky alias Shanarama

Shana is an illustrator and a weaver of stories who lives with her family in the wilds of London, UK.

She can often be spotted sketching the natural inhabitants of the urban jungle, usually on the tube. Having a background in Architecture, Film and T.V has helped inform her storytelling abilities and she likes to work across a variety of genres for both younger and older children. Shana enjoys working in both traditional and digital methods, often blending the two elements together, as can be seen through her use of pencil and graphite, with digital colouring.

Her stories are often about strong-willed characters overcoming adversity through friendship and self-determination. She loves films, picture books, graphic novels, special sketchbooks, 7-minute exercises, the colour teal, cinnamon rolls and early morning strolls listening to music.

Shana can often be found in the early hours of the morning, dreaming up her stories, whilst brewing her first, of many, cups of tea!
