Katie Goodman

Katie is a multi-award-winning journalist, producer and documentary maker. She’s spent over 20 years covering some of the world’s biggest news stories, with a front view seat at United States Presidential Inaugurations and in UK politics. She’s walked the Oscars red carpet and loved the glitz and glam of Hollywood, but her greatest passion has been the privilege of telling real people’s stories and giving a voice to those often unheard as ITN’s Channel 5 News Specialist Producer.

She has been awarded the Society of Editors Producer of the Year, and two Medical Journalists Awards for her work in Long Covid in kids, and her investigations into children with eating disorders. She also has a particular interest in mental health.

Katie is a proud Glasgow girl, but now lives in leafy St Albans in England, with her husband and two daughters, both of whom inspired her to write children’s books. After spending more than two decades covering real life stories, Katie’s role as a journalist and then a mum, encouraged her to combine her passions for story telling by writing for children. Katie’s other love is her very handsome Cocker Spaniel, Roman!

Katie is represented by Robyn Newton — to work with Katie please email Amy Fitzgerald while Robyn is on maternity leave.
