"Sometimes it only takes a stranger in a dark place... to say we have the right to be here, to make us warm in the coldest season."
Neil Gaiman, in 2019, asked his Twitter followers: "What brings you a sense of warmth?. What you need to be Warm (published by Bloomsbury) is the transformation of over 1000 responses into a beautiful poem, all in support of the UNHCR's winter appeal.
Gaiman's poem is accompanied by a series of beautiful illustrations by a group of international artists, including Bright's Benji Davies and Richard Jones. This wonderful work, available now in hardback, champions our fundamental right to feel secure, no matter who we are or where we're from.
Every sale of the book goes to supporting the UNHCR efforts, the UN Refugee Agency, in providing support for displaced communities and Asylum seekers worldwide.
